These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bad Oak LLC (“Bad Oak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Pray, Give, Sow mobile application and related services (together, “the App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who must agree to these Terms. To make purchases, you must be old enough to form a binding contract and to use your Apple ID.
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@praygivesow.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
Pray, Give, Sow helps you record and track your prayers, giving, and savings goals. The App does not process donations, transfer funds, or move money of any kind, and it is not a payment processor, money transmitter, bank, or charity. Any amounts, recipients, or goals you enter are self-reported values for your own personal tracking. The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or spiritual advice. You are responsible for your own financial and charitable decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
The App offers an optional premium tier (“Pro”) with additional features. Pro is sold through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple ID.
If Pro is later offered as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, this section will be updated to describe a single, non-recurring charge instead of auto-renewal.
You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (your prayers, notes, goals, and other entries). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the App and provide its features to you — for example, to sync your data across your devices. You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping your own copies of anything important to you.
You agree not to use the App to: (a) violate any law or the rights of others; (b) interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems; (c) upload malicious code; or (d) use the App in any way that could harm Bad Oak, other users, or third parties.
The App, including its design, artwork, illustrations, text, software, and the “Pray, Give, Sow” name and logo, is owned by Bad Oak LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.
Scripture texts. The App includes public-domain Bible translations: the World English Bible (WEB) and the King James Version (KJV), and the Reina-Valera (1909) Spanish translation. These translations are in the public domain and are provided for your personal study and reference.
The App relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store and in-app purchases), Supabase (accounts and data hosting), and Expo (app updates). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that your data will always be available or preserved. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important information.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BAD OAK LLC AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bad Oak LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may modify or discontinue features of the App, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide notice within the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Bad Oak LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, and you consent to venue there. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@praygivesow.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
These Terms are between you and Bad Oak LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. To the extent the App is provided through the App Store, your use must also comply with the applicable App Store Terms of Service.
