Privacy Policy

Pray, Give, Sow (“the App”) is operated by Bad Oak LLC (“Bad Oak,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We built the App to help you pray, track your giving, and grow — and we designed it to collect as little about you as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name and email address so we can sign you in and sync your data across your devices. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.
Content you create in the App. This includes your prayers and prayer goals, giving and savings (“seed”) goals, the amounts and recipients you choose to record, Bible highlights, notes, bookmarks, daily check-in moods, your Blessing Garden layout, reminder settings, and profile details (such as display name, church, and preferred Bible translation). This content is stored on your device, and — if you create an account — also synced to our cloud so it follows you across devices and survives reinstalling the App.

Information from purchases

If you subscribe to or purchase Pray, Give, Sow Pro, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your payment card number. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status so we can unlock Pro features.

Information collected automatically

The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent to us. We may keep basic, non-identifying operational logs from our hosting providers (for example, to keep the service running and secure).

What we do not collect: we do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your device’s photos, your actual bank or financial-account data, or health data. The giving and savings figures you enter are self-reported values for your own tracking.

2. How we use your information

To provide the App and its features, and to sync your content across your devices.
To create and secure your account and sign you in.
To deliver the prayer reminders you choose to set (locally, on your device).
To unlock and manage Pro features you have purchased.
To respond to your support requests.
To maintain, protect, and improve the App, and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the App. They process your information only to provide services to us, under their own privacy and security commitments:

Supabase — hosts our database and authentication; stores your account and synced content.
Apple — the App Store and in-app purchases.
Expo (Expo Application Services) — delivers over-the-air content and updates to the App.

4. How your information is stored and retained

Your data is stored on your device and, for account holders, on our providers’ servers in the United States. We keep your account information and synced content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete it from our active systems, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations. Content stored only on your device is removed when you delete the App or clear its data.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls so that each account can only access its own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Access and correction. You can view and edit your content directly in the App.
Deletion. You can delete your account from within the App, or email us at privacy@praygivesow.com and we will delete your data.
Reminders. You can turn prayer reminders on or off at any time in the App’s settings, or in your device’s notification settings.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of your personal information, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@praygivesow.com; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

The App is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and, for material changes, we will provide notice within the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
